Recruitment

What exactly does a volunteer firefighter do?

You may be suprised to know that fighting fires accounts for only a small percentage of what our company actually does. On any given day, we may be called on to respond to a variety of incidents including:

Fire alarms, car accidents, physical rescues, carbon monoxide alarms, downed power lines, flooding, gas leaks, hazardous material spills, and more

The wide range of incidents that we handle means that there are many roles for volunteers within our organization. Not every volunteer needs to be comfortable with the idea of running into a burning building! There are plenty of essential tasks that volunteers can perform within their own comfort zones.

Joining a volunteer fire company can open many doors both personally and professionally. We welcome Green Tree residents and those living on the borough outskirts ages 16 and up to come discover the many ways in which you can help protect your community. Please consider donating your time and your talents so that we can continue to provide high-quality, life-saving services for our friends and neighbors.
